Chairman: No political interference here
Winnipeg Free Press Share/Partager
By his own admission, Eric Hughes has undergone a 'baptism by fire.' Interim chairman of the Canadian
Museum for Human Rights for less than a year, Hughes was only confirmed formally as the full-time
chairman last month. Almost immediately, Hughes was deluged with controversy. More/LIRE PLUS

Royal Saskatchewan Museum (RSM) is mandated to preserve the provinces natural and physical heritage,
and with a new website, people from all over the world can get a glimpse of Saskatchewan. "Today, with

pride, the RSM is a great place for new arrivals and long-time residents alike to learn about the natural
world around us. This new website is part of the visitor experience - it will help engage people and make
information easier to find," said Parks, Culture and Sport Minister Kevin Doherty in a press release.

Cross-country electric road show rides into town
EMC Orleans Share/Partager
One man is driving across the country in an effort to prove to Canadians that there is an option to driving a
gas-guzzling car. By the end of Sun Country Highway president Kent Rathwell's trip, he will have travelled
almost 10,000 kilometres in an electric vehicle. This initiative will commemorate both the milestones of
Thomas Wilby's first motor car tour across Canada in 1912 and the opening of the Trans Canada Highway
in 1962. More/LIRE PLUS

Experts: Masonic Temple property a tough site for condos
Toronto Star Share/Partager
It's played host to Frank Sinatra, David Bowie and Led Zeppelin. But its original purpose was as a home to
the Masons, a semisecret fraternal organization that performed elaborate rites and rituals in the meeting
rooms upstairs. More rooted in the past than the present, the Masonic Temple is steeped in a unique dual
history still evident within the brick and limestone building that has presided over the intersection of Yonge
and Davenport since 1918. More/LIRE PLUS
