About Our Program

The Cultural Resource Management Program offers distance education courses for professionals, volunteers and board members in museums, galleries, heritage sites, cultural centres and related organizations. Courses are designed to address the emerging needs of the sector and build your personal and organizational capacity.

In our courses, you interact with colleagues from across North America and beyond, participate in stimulating learning activities, and relate your learning to the practical issues and realities of your workplace and community. Courses are taught by instructors who are leading professionals in the field.

Courses can be taken individually or towards a comprehensive diploma or focused professional specialization certificate. Individual credit and non-credit course registration options are also available. Choose the program and / or course best suited to meet your needs from the flexible options available.

CMA Bursary Program Opportunities

Please be aware that the Canadian Museums Association offers a Bursary Program to support museums professionals attending non-credited courses with a duration of no more than one week. If you are interested in taking any of the above-mentioned courses as a non-credit student and you are a CMA member, you would be eligible for this program.

Details about the CMA Bursary Program (bursary categories, regulations and guidelines) are available at http://www.museums.ca/Services/Bursaries/?n=14-100

The applicants must send their  bursary applications to CMA before the beginning of the course.  Please contact the CMA directly if you are any questions.
