Memo on Holodomor fails to quell concern
Winnipeg Free Press Share/Partager
There have been handshakes and a memo of co-operation between Ukrainians and the human rights
museum, but a Canadian-Ukrainian group remains skeptical about what it means for the museum's floor
plan. The Canadian Museum for Human Rights signed a memorandum of understanding last week with the
Memorial in Commemoration of Famines' Victims in Kyiv. The museum said the agreement would help
them better understand the Holodomor, the 1932-33 forced starvation in Soviet Ukraine that killed millions.

Courrier Frontenac Share/Partager

Vote: Canada's best museum
Canada.com Share/Partager
Chances are the last time you visited the main museum in your home town was during a school field trip
and yet when you visit another city, one of the first things you want to see is the best museum in town.

Oujé-Bougoumou shares its traditions
Montreal Gazette Share/Partager
With a new cultural museum, a Cree village on the southern fringe of James Bay region gives outsiders a
chance to drive into an aboriginal community and have some meaningful contact. Look for a long building
with crossed beams protruding along the roof peak in the centre of Oujé-Bougoumou. It is the Cree Cultural
Institute, inspired by the shape of the sabtuan, the traditional Cree longhouse tent used in ceremonies.

More/LIRE PLUS

L'Action d'Autray Share/Partager
More/LIRE PLUS

Nanton's Warren Twins honoured
QMI Agency Share/Partager
The Bomber Command Museum of Canada has dedicated the garden next to the main entrance in
memory of the Warren twins. The garden was originally dedicated to Bruce Warren, who died in 1957 in a
flight training accident and was re-dedicated to recognize the memory of Doug Warren as well. A Tiger
Moth, the Bomber Command Museum's first flyable restoration aircraft was unveiled to the public and was
dedicated in honour of Murray Peden. Peden flew a Tiger Moth type aircraft in WWII. More/LIRE PLUS
