[BCMA] Canmore Museum & Geoscience Centre Exhibition Announcement

*JEWELS OF THE BOW: AN EXPLORATION OF THE CANMORE MUSEUM COLLECTION*

*July 14th - October 31st, 2012*
The Canmore Museum & Geoscience Centre's collection room is a treasure
trove of objects, with stories spanning the town’s 129 year history. But
some of these stories have been lost, and it’s been our job to track them
down. Thanks to a generous donation by The Calgary Foundation, the Canmore
Museum & Geoscience Centre has spent the past year investigating the
histories of 50 objects in the Museum collection including: a Winston
Churchill doll, a jukebox from the Canmore Hotel and a signed copy of Ralph
Connor’s first book, *Black Rock*. Members of the community have helped
shape this project, by providing us with personal stories connected to the
objects.

Please join us after the Miners' Day parade on July 14th, from 2 - 4 pm in
the Canmore Civic Centre, to celebrate not only the exhibit, but the people
whose stories helped make this exhibition possible.
