Kirstin Evenden out as head of Calgary's Glenbow

Kirstin Evenden has resigned as President and CEO of Calgary's Glenbow Museum, less than two months
after declaring she was confident the museum's woes could be turned around, on the day of the museum's
Annual General Meeting. A news release sent out announced that Donna Livingstone has been appointed
interim president and CEO of the Glenbow, in the wake of Evenden's resignation. Livingstone is currently
the director, cultural and community programming, with Libraries and Cultural Resources at the University

Homer Watson Gallery curator laid off

The Homer Watson Gallery has lost its curator. Sandu Sindile was laid off from the Kitchener gallery. He
had held the position for close to five years. Executive director/curator Faith Hieblinger confirms the gallery
was forced to reorganize in response to difficult economic times. More

Museum gets a blast from St. Catharines auto-making past

Calling all car buffs. History geeks, too. The St. Catharines Museum will soon have an automotive blast
from the past on display. It's a 1905 Oldsmobile Touring Roundabout, a roadster that was manufactured at
the old Packard Electric plant in St. Catharines. The engine is the original. The rest of the car has been

HMCS Wetaskiwin model to be unveiled

The Wetaskiwin Heritage Museum is giving a special to salute to our country's naval heroes this coming
weekend. The museum will mark this year's Remembrance Day with a tribute to the Canadian Navy and
the unveiling of a hand-built model of the HMCS Wetaskiwin. The model, which the museum received this
past June, was donated to them by the builder, Don Watson, who served on the corvette class ship from
