FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: The Shadbolt Centre for the Arts presents "Woody Sed"

BURNABY, BC - Welcome to Woody Sed, a new play about the life and times of Woody Guthrie and
the songs he sang about them. Starring Thomas Jones in a tour de force performance, Woody Sed features 19 songs and offers  a cascade of 25 colourful characters, all bundled up in a true to life tale.

Woody Guthrie was a prolific and provocative writer, the father of the 1960's folk revival and, according to Billy Bragg, the first 'alternative' musician.

>From the dust bowl of Oklahoma to the towers of New York City and from Hobo Jungles to the Merchant Marine Woody Guthrie saw it and wrote about it. Woody Sed takes you there charting Guthrie's rise to fame and his struggle to escape a harsh and predestined fate.
