d'oeuvre. More/LIRE PLUS

$14 million still needed for human rights museum in Winnipeg
The Canadian Press Share/Partager
Fundraisers for the Canadian Museum For Human Rights are $14 million short of their goal, but may need
more money to pay interest on a government-backed loan. "The numbers could go up slightly, but we know
we really want to focus in the next two years to get the funds raised as quickly as possible," Gail Asper,
chairwoman of the museum's fundraising group, said. More/LIRE PLUS

Nanaimo Daily News Share/Partager
A dream that started with a table during Remembrance Day celebrations for Armistice week in the 1980s
comes to fruition soon. Volunteers and board members are set to stage the grand re-opening of the
Vancouver Island Military Museum at the facility's new location at 100 Cameron Ave. in Piper Park, the site

Objects and the city
National Post Share/Partager
There's nothing more impressive in modern Canadian sculpture than the rows of astonishing shapes that
you can see outside the Canadian Centre for Architecture, above RenéLévesque Boulevard in downtown
Montreal. They are unlike anything else in the world. They depict churches and factories, houses and
farms, Greek columns and grain elevators. They speak to us of cities and in particular Montreal. More/LIRE
