Kelowna Museums Remembers
An evening of sharing at the Laurel Packinghouse 10 years after the
Okanagan Mountain Park Fire
In 2003 Kelowna experienced one the worst fires to move through the area in
known history. Now, ten years later the Kelowna Museums wants to give the
community an opportunity to share experiences and memories of the Okanagan
Mountain Park Fire as they host Smoking Embers: An Evening of Sharing on
Thursday, September 5th at the Laurel packinghouse, from 4:00 pm to 6:00
pm. This is a community event for all ages, featuring scenes from the
documentary film Firestorm, which premiers August 16th at Kelowna’s
Paramount Theatre. We invite all members of the community to take part in
this discussion.
