[BCMA] Symposium at MOA

Dear all,
We will be hosting the Pacific Arts Association symposium here at UBC August 6-9.  We are partnering with Musqueam Indian Band, Pacific Peoples Partnership (Victoria) and the Pacific Islands Museums Association.  This is an opportunity for us who look out at the Pacific to meet those from the Pacific.  Historians, curators, artists, collectors, elders and anybody interested in the Pacific will meet at Musqueam, the First Nations House of Learning at UBC and MOA to address the theme "Pacific Intersections and Cross-Currents: Unchartered Histories and Future Trends."  There is also a pre-conference workshop "Fabricating Fashion" led by Samoan artist Rosanna Raymond and Canadian/Fijian Katrina Talei Igglesden.
