[BCMA] Canada Summer Jobs

Hello Robin,

The Cowichan Valley Museum & Archives just received a letter from Service Canada stating that although our application was eligible, the demand for funding for our area had exceeded their budget. 

It's very disappointing since we have only ever asked for funding for one student. This is the first time since 1997 that we have not received funding. We may have to scale back our summer opening hours.

We just found out we’ve been cut from three student positions to zero. We’ve never had less than three positions for over twenty years. 

  

Is anybody else in this situation? Does anybody know if there are new policies in place or a new federal agenda?
