BC Sports Hall of Fame is pleased to announce Sarah Doran-Coelho is promoted
to Director of Development

September 17, 2013 - BC Sports Hall of Fame is pleased to announce the
promotion of Sarah Doran-Coelho from Fundraising Manager to Director of
Development.

Of the new promotion Executive Director, Allison Mailer said, "We are
delighted to recognise Sarah's hard work and achievements with this
promotion to Director of Development and trust her passion for the
organization and commitment to exceptional partner relations are assets in
her new role.  For over three years Sarah has raised over $560,000 and has
shown dedication to our non-profit organization, proving to be a valuable
member of the BC Sports Hall of Fame team." She adds, "Sarah brings over
eight years in fundraising, along with over 17 years of exceptional customer
service and leadership skills that will help the BC Sports Hall of Fame
continue to grow and better our sponsor and donor relations."

About Sarah Doran-Coelho

Sarah Doran-Coelho, Irish-born into a family of seven children knew from an
early age that she wanted to make positive difference in the lives of others
living amongst the troubles in Northern Ireland. Coming from a family whose
livelihood was small business, Sarah learned about the importance of taking
care of customers at the age of 12.  Upon leaving home, she roamed the skies
working for Emirates Airline and Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum's
private airline based in Dubai providing the highest standards in safety and
service before arriving to Canada.  Working for Sleep Country Canada, Sarah
was BC's first official customer service manager who grew the department
streamlining policies and procedures to ensure the best in customer service.
Sarah moved onto community relations developing, growing and enhancing
national community campaigns across Canada supporting the Salvation Army,
Children's Miracle Network and the charity bed program which provided over
10,000 used beds to families in need annually. Sarah has been with the BC
Sports Hall of Fame for three and half years and has a passion for making a
difference in the lives of children through education.  Sarah fell in love
with the Hero in YouR youth education programs and philosophy of sharing
athlete's stories on the path to success. Sarah says "The Hall believes in
making a difference, allowing young people to find their own hero within and
ultimately build their own success for the future through the Hall's vision
and legacy to Honour the Past and Inspire the Future...
