As the provincial service organization for the craft sector, the Craft
Council of BC works to support all stages of artistic practice in the craft
sector; creates opportunities for artists to exhibit, sell and produce art;
provides a voice for artists and craft organizations and aids in the
development of active communities around craft.

Crafthouse is a social enterprise where we sell, promote and exhibit our
memberships' contemporary craft. Crafthouse has been located and thriving on
Granville Island, Vancouver for 28 years. We are looking to add an online
shopping component and to expand our craft dealer network over the next 3
years.

 

We are searching for a full time management position within a non-profit
environment. We're looking for an energetic, results-driven, customer
focused, team player who can drive our retail social enterprise to the next
level in sales and business. This is an opportunity for you to contribute to
BC's cultural economy by discovering, promoting and selling the work of
amazing craft artists. 

 

As the Store Manager, you will be responsible for the management and
leadership of CCBC's social enterprise activities online and in-store;
overseeing and driving daily sales performance; maintain service and
operational standards; supervising, coaching and training staff on product
and sales program; ensuring adequate staffing; providing superior customer
service; maintaining store facilities; ensuring safety and security for
guests and staff; preparing cash reports and merchandise orders; and other
similar duties pertaining to the management of a retail store.
