We use a great program Consignment Till - it does everything we need to run
our store, is really easy for the artists to work with, inexpensive, great
customer services from provider and it is a program developed in BC. The
link is http://www.rjfsoft.com/ if you would like to discuss how it works
feel free to contact our shop manager - Jo Darts at 604.687.7270 and she'd
be happy to discuss it with you - she loves it.

Subject: [BCMA] POS systemPOS systems for museum gift shop
Greetings everyone:
We have been using a Winward Speedy POS system to manage stock and track
sales in the Museum gift shop. Winward is no longer going to support this
program and are offering to migrate us to a more current and deluxe version.
The old version had far more bells and whistles than we ever thought of
using so, before we accept the offer, I am just wondering if anyone else is
using a POS system that they would recommend. We have a relatively small
operation with only one cash. ( For comparison purposes we have been paying
$350- $400 per year annual support and the upgrade is offered at $1,500) so
we would be interested in less costly alternatives.
Thanks for any input. Please email me directly.
