The Okanagan Arts Awards Launch Festivity!
Saturday, January 18, 2014. 1:00 pm – 2:00pm
The Factory

January 18, 1:00 pm at the Factory, 1302 St Paul Street, Kelowna, BC.
The Arts Council of the Central Okanagan is excited to announce The Okanagan Arts Awards (OAA) Launch to be held at the Factory on Saturday, January 18, 2014. 1:00 pm.

Come and join in the fun to kickoff the countdown to the Okanagan Arts Awards Gala night happening on March 22, 2014 at the Mary Irwin Theatre (RCA), Kelowna, BC.

During the event the winning Okanagan Arts Award sculpture will be unveiled. Guests have the opportunity to mingle with our 2014 Okanagan Arts Awards hosts, directors, artists, local businesses and the past winners of the Okanagan Arts Awards. The afternoon will be full of cheer with music by pianist and vocalist Neville Bowman and will feature wine tastings by Ex Nihilo and delicious delicacies.

Now in its 7^th year the Okanagan Arts Awards has made some exciting changes to the arts awards nomination process which will be also be revealed during the January 18^th OAA Official Launch.

The Okanagan Arts Awards serve to underline the importance of the arts in our communities, and to recognize individuals and groups for their significant contributions and for their exceptional support of arts and culture from through-out the Okanagan/Thompson Valley.

The Arts Council of the Central Okanagan is a non-profit organization that is the underlying support for anything and everything that is art. Art is culture, entertainment, recreation, lifestyle and worldview. The arts include all. The arts include you! The Arts Council of the Central Okanagan supports, strengthens and promotes all art disciplines and traditions.
