[BCMA] Roundup: Technology and Engagement - looking for contributors

Hi Lisa - I am working with the Town of Qualicum Beach and the Qualicum
Beach Museum in creating "Historic Walking Tour" with an electronic
component that will allow the user to use GPS technology to guide them
through the Town and the viewer will be able to view video vignettes and
other content all on their mobile device (Cell phone, tablets, etc). Please
see attached photo of the interface.

I can send you a demo of the product if you are interested.

We are beginning work on the Winter 2014 issue of Roundup, and are looking
for contributors.

The theme of the issue is "technology and engagement". 

We are interested in stories about how museums, galleries and archives are
using technology as a tool for community engagement.

Are you using technology to enrich or extend the visitor experience? To
create audience-generated content? To collaborate with artists, researchers,
or other groups?

If you have a story you'd like to share with Roundup readers, please contact
me by Monday, January 20.  There's no need to submit an entire story at this
point - just let me know you are interested, and we can talk about
submission requirements, deadlines, etc.

Thanks! I am looking forward to hearing about many great projects from
around the province.
