Administrative Assistant
Kamloops Art Gallery is seeking a highly-motivated and organized person to fill the position of part-time Administrative Assistant.
The Administrative Assistant provides a professional, knowledgeable and organized front-line presence in the Administration area; coordinates the donor/membership database; and provides key administrative support to the Executive Director and Manager of Operations.
The successful candidate possesses at least five (5) years experience as an Administrative Assistant, in a not-for-profit environment preferably; outstanding organizational and computer skills (specifically Microsoft programs including database experience); excellent written and verbal communication skills; and an interest in the visual arts.
Wage: $16.00 hour
Employee status: Part-time, permanent (one day/week - Fridays)

Principal Goals
To provide a standard of excellence in the membership and administrative activities and organizational effectiveness of the Kamloops Art Gallery.
Job Purpose
The part-time Administrative Assistant provides a professional, knowledgeable and organized front-line presence in the Administration area; coordinates the donor/membership database; and provides key administrative support to the Executive Director and Manager of Operations.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Front-line Administrative Activities:
Processes incoming and outgoing mail and couriers.
Maintains the Administration area.
Ensures that there is always a staff presence in the Administration area.
Assists in maintaining the main filing system.
Assists with Library inquiries.
Directs inquiries to appropriate staff.
Membership Services:
Maintains the donor/membership database
Processes new and renewing memberships
Other donor/membership database duties as required
Administrative Support:
Assists in mailings (fundraising, donor development, invitations, Gallery Guide)
Prepares correspondence and other documents as required.
Books flights, hotels, catering and other arrangements as required.
Reports to: Manager of Operations
Recommended Memberships (individual and/or business)
