[BCMA] Wanted: Thoughts on Fundraising Courses/Programs as Professional Development

Hello,
I am currently working on a new column for the BCMA Round-Up on Professional Development. The first article is going to be focusing on Fundraising/Grant Writing programs and courses offered in BC. I'm hoping people will be willing to share some of their experiences and thoughts.
Some questions I have are:
1) Have you taken a fundraising or grant writing program/course? Which one(s)? Pros/Cons?2) Has anyone participated in the Fundraising Certificate program at BCIT? Thoughts?3) How did the course help you in your current position or help you obtain a new one?4) Employers: How helpful is it to have an employee with this sort of knowledge/skill? Is it something you seek out in a potential employee?5) If you have taken a workshop, how does that compare to taking a full course? What are the pros and cons? How do it balance with your work schedule?6) After taking one of the courses or programs, do you think you have been more successful in obtaining grants/funding? Did you look at the application process in a new light?
