* “AND…”*

2017 represents the 150th anniversary of the confederation of Canada, a
soldifying moment in the history of this country. Along the timeline that
connects us to that moment on 1 July, 1867, this anniversary is the fulcrum
between past and future. It is a time for celebration and a time for sobre
reflection. It is the conjunction of experiences and a tale to which there
is always another side. *And…* is the acknowledgment of a familiar story,
but more importantly a device with which to add to it and consider what
comes next. “*And…*” invites the celebration of this milestone *And…* a
robust examination of a past more prosperous for some than for indigenous
peoples and immigrant populations. It aspires to look at the
accomplishments and the failures of the last 150 years and take stock of
the present so that we might honour the foundations on which confederation
was built by forging a stronger tomorrow. In this context Two Rivers
Gallery is seeking artists from across BC working in any media to respond
to this call with three to six artworks produced within the last three
years in order to add perspectives to this anniversary and reflect upon the
future.



Complete this form and send it along with some information about yourself
and the work you do, and images of up to six artworks. The Gallery will
notify those whose work is selected for exhibition. Artists whose work is
selected will receive an exhibition fee.


*SUBMISSIONS MUST BE RECEIVED NO LATER THAN 4PM, 20 NOVEMBER, 2016.*



*Guidelines*

   - Artists can submit images for up to six completed works.
   - Include information about yourself and each artwork.
   - All Artwork must have been produced within the last three years.
   - The Gallery will pay fees to artists selected for exhibition.

*What to Send*
A package clearly marked “*AND…*” containing the following:

   - Good quality slides, photographs, or jpgs (min. 1 MB) labelled with
   artist's name, title of work and size. Please title each file with a
   number, your first initial, last name, the year and title of your work (for
   example: 01jsmith2014divinecreation.jpg). *Use letters and numbers only*.
   - An image list including titles, date of production, medium and size
   - Information about the work.
   - A current resumé, curriculum vitae or a short statement about yourself.
   - A self-addressed envelope stamped with sufficient return postage.

 ** Packages that do not include the above may be deemed incomplete and
disqualified.



*Deadlines*

All submissions must be received by Two Rivers Gallery no later than 4pm,
on 20 November, 2016. *Original art will not be accepted at this point*.
Please ensure your images accurately represent your artwork. Exhibition
date is January 19, to April 2, 2017. Subject to change.
