A series of four workshops has been developed to help improve professional knowledge, skills and practice in the area of conservation. These informative, two-day workshops will take place at the Ursula Surtees Regional Conservation Laboratory (http://kelownamuseums.us4.list-manage.com/track/click?u=b55c3f6adc9aed6b9ca30b608&id=e21ca6cd5f&e=f17dd2875c) , a state-of-the-art facility located at the Okanagan Heritage Museum in Kelowna, BC. The series is designed to help museum professionals gain new conservation and treatment techniques as well as refresh or upgrade their existing skills and knowledge.

Andrew Todd, a renowned Canadian Conservator, will be leading the workshop. Andrew specializes in the conservation of historic objects, works of art, furniture and sculpture. Don’t miss the opportunity to learn from such a knowledgeable conservator!

The workshop will cover:

– Preventative conservation
– Storage
– Care and handling
– Cleaning


** Participants must register by March 3rd, 2016 as limited space is available!

Registration cost ($60) includes lunch and snacks during the workshop.

Start time: 9:00 am
End time: 4:30 pm
