Learn from one of the world's best wildlife photographers
at a Royal BC Museum workshop
The Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition receives entries from professionals, gifted amateurs and young photographers alike - and that means you could be the next winner.
The Royal BC Museum is offering the public a chance to study with the best of the best during two photography workshops for adults, March 19 and 20, 2016, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Join other wildlife photography enthusiasts for a close-up look at the Wildlife Photographer of the Year<http://royalbcmuseum.bc.ca/wpty2015/> 2015 exhibition, go behind the scenes to the Royal BC Museum's imaging studio and practice "in the field" with Canadian 2015 Wildlife Photographer of the Year Rising Star Portfolio winner, Connor Stefanison.
Stefanison's portfolio was named the winner from a worldwide selection of 18 to 25-year-old photographers. The British Columbia photographer and two-time Wildlife Photographer of the Year winner is a graduate of Simon Fraser University and won the award for the first time in 2013.
Photography Workshop for Adults is $45 per person and space is limited to 25 people. All levels of experience are welcome and participants will be grouped accordingly. Attendees should bring a camera, camera lenses, tripod and lunch, and dress to go outside.
Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2015 is presented by the Natural History Museum, London. Now in its 51st year, the exhibition features 100 stunning winning images in huge, backlit displays, selected from a field of 42,000 international entries in 20 categories. The exhibition is on display at the Royal BC Museum until April 4.
