[BCMA] Summer Employment Opportunities for Students at Caetani Centre

The Caetani Centre has the following summer positions available and is
accepting applications now until April 6. All positions are dependent upon
funding.

The Caetani Centre is seeking to recruit up to 3 students through Young
Canada Works and Canada Summer Jobs for summer placements as Interpretive,
Research, Events & Program Assistants from 12 – 16 weeks, May – August,
2016. This position is dependent on the Centre securing funding.

The successful candidates will assist the board, staff and volunteers with
research, planning, marketing and implementing heritage, arts and cultural
community programming and special events and assist with property
preparation and grounds at the centre. Candidates should ideally be
studying in the field of fine art, history, English, or drama. One
interpretive and event position is shared with the Allan Brooks Nature
Centre/Bishops Wild Bird Sanctuary and an interest in biology or
environment/conservation would be an asset.

Position is 35 hours per week, 12 – 16 weeks, dependent upon funding, with
flexible hours as weekend and evening work is required.

*NOTE:* Some funding is through Young Canada Works therefore all applicants
must:
• be between the ages of 16-30
• have been a full-time student in the semester preceding the summer
• returning to school full time in the fall of 2016
• be eligible to work in Canada
• All candidates must be eligible for Young Canada Works

All interview candidates will be required to bring a citizenship card or
valid passport and their student ID card with them to the interview. The
Caetani Cultural Centre will also cross-reference their details with the
YCW candidate inventory to ensure their eligibility before offering the
position. A contract of employment will then be drawn up for the duration
of the work assignment.
