VICTORIA, BC - From March 29-31, 2017, the Royal BC Museum and the First Peoples' Cultural Council will be hosting a symposium in Kelowna dedicated to the topic of cultural repatriation.
This is the first time in Canada a provincial museum has convened a symposium on this topic.
Media are invited to attend throughout the symposium ("Indigenous Perspectives on Repatriation: Moving Forward Together"), as First Nations repatriation experts, community members and international museum professionals discuss issues and learn from one another.
There will be ample opportunities for photos / video and for one-on-one interviews with key attendees. A media feed in the main room (North Ballroom) will be set up for your convenience.
