Apologies for cross-postings.

Hello everyone,

The Irving K. Barber Learning Centre’s annual funding program is now accepting applications. IKBLC provides matching financial contributions for institutions doing digitization projects related to British Columbian history, up to $15,000 per applicant. Projects can be multi-year initiatives. Funding is open to all institutions with preservation of historical British Columbia materials as their mandate – this includes libraries, historical societies, archives and private or public institutions.

New this year is an agreement between the IKBLC and the British Columbia Electronic Library Network in order to facilitate the use of Arca<https://ubc.us2.list-manage.com/track/click?u=e16ca49d875b94fc549d40fa0&id=d81718ef60&e=98cc7f5bd6> – a provincial collaborative repository platform. This means that all successful 2018-2019 applicants will have the option to host their digitized material on Arca for three years.

Applications are due by December 11, 2017. For questions, contact Eirian Vining at bc.historydigitization at ubc.ca<mailto:bc.historydigitization at ubc.ca>
