O'Keefe Ranch Opens Family Daze in the Corn Maze

 

The Historic O'Keefe Ranch is preparing for a change of seasons. The doors
to the mansion, church and log house are closing soon for the winter and yet
staff and volunteers are preparing for the busiest month ahead.

 

Opening on Saturday, October 7, the O'Keefe Ranch invites the community to
attend Family Daze in the Corn Maze, an event for all ages featuring a brand
new 2 acre corn maze to explore. The twists and turns will surely make you
dizzy, then add to that, plenty of spooktacular Halloween scenes around
every corner.

 

"The O'Keefe Ranch is a place for everyone. Family Daze is suitable for
young children and grandparents too. It's not terrifying like Field of
Screams. The corn maze has scary props but there are no live actors in our
daytime events, we keep that element for Field of Screams. Family Daze is
intended to give everyone another chance to visit the Ranch, have some
outdoor fun, share the space with family and friends, and enjoy the harvest

Big kids and little kids can run through the maze but there is still more to
see at the Ranch. The Balmoral School House and General Store will be
decorated for the occasion, and perhaps more suitable for guests who are not
as amused by the scary scenes in the maze. The Ranch is offering pony rides
for children and tractor rides for everyone. Kids can climb on the spider
web, take part in an art activity in the O'Keefe Kids Korner, or have their
face painted in the spirit of the season. And of course, what's Halloween
without candy, be sure to visit the General Store for a tasty old fashioned
treat. 

 

Admission to Family Daze in the Corn Maze is $10 per person or $30 for a
family of 5. The event runs from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm every weekend in
October, 7-8, 14-15, 21-22, 28 (there is no event on October 29). Food
trucks will be onsite as well. The corn maze is an annual fundraising event
at the O'Keefe Ranch. Proceeds support the care and maintenance of the
historic buildings, collections and artifacts, and to aid educational
opportunities for the public.

The O'Keefe Ranch is open daily from 10am-5pm until October 1st (and for
various special events in the off-season). The Ranch is located at 9380 Hwy
