Hello all-
Over the past several months, I have been part of a working group involved
with the CHIN Collections Management Software project. CHIN just announced
the first resource from this project is now published on the CHIN website:

 Guidelines for developing a request for proposal (RFP) for a collections
management system
<https://www.canada.ca/en/heritage-information-network/services/collections-management-systems/request-proposals-collections-management.html>
 / Demande de propositions pour un système de gestion des collections
<https://www.canada.ca/fr/reseau-information-patrimoine/services/systemes-gestion-collections/demande-propositions-gestion-collections.html>

https://www.canada.ca/en/heritage-information-network/services/collections-management-systems/request-proposals-collections-management.html

This document provides guidance on the information that is typically
included in a request for proposals (RFP) issued for a collections
management system. It will be an invaluable resource for anyone embarking
on that process.

During the CHIN project, the working group also had the opportunity to
participate in demonstrations of numerous collections management software
systems and evaluate them. Those product profiles and evaluations have all
been translated and processed, and are awaiting publication. We will let
you know when these become available online.

I hope you will find these resources useful. In the meantime, please
contact me if you have any questions.

All the best,
Anissa
