[BCMA] Regional Workshop in Abbotsford - One week away!

Hello everyone,

The BCMA is excited to host our first Regional Workshop of 2018 next week
in Abbotsford!  We will be joined by Luc Desmarais who will guide us
through how small museums can lay the groundwork for collection clean-up
and deaccessioning projects. From policy, to inventory, and ethical issues
to disposal, Luc will map out your journey to a refined and tidy collection.

This workshop will run from 10am-4pm on March 19 at the Gur Sikh Temple and
Sikh Heritage Museum (33089 S Fraser Way) in Abbotsford, BC.  We encourage
members and museum colleagues from across the Lower Mainland and into the
Fraser Valley to attend this valuable professional development workshop.

We are honoured to have the Khalsa Diwan Society provide workshop
participants with a langar lunch at the Abbotsford gurdwara. Langar is a
free meal served to all gurdwara visitors, without distinction of religion,
caste, gender, economic status or ethnicity. The meal changes daily but
will be vegetarian.
