The Arts & Culture Program Consultant is responsible for administering and coordinating province-wide BC Arts Council Programs to support and develop professional, community and regional arts organizations, and individual artists. The position also conducts independent program reviews and research to support overall program and policy development. This includes providing consultative services to clients requesting or in receipt of grant assistance to improve their artistic achievement, community engagement and organizational capacity. The successful candidate will analyze applications for a variety of BC Arts Council programs to ensure program guidelines are met; assesses mandate, programming, marketing strategies, organizational structure, proposed revenues, expenditures and other such criteria to determine continued viability.

In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:
Undergraduate Degree preferably in the arts and culture, social sciences or business fields, and a minimum of 2 (prefer 3) years of recent, related experience. .An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Recent, related experience includes the following:
Experience in analyzing and evaluating applications against a variety of criteria including financial.
Experience monitoring and evaluating program performance.
Experience in providing consultative services to clients and/or stakeholders.
Experience with the following is preferred:
Experience in the performing arts: dance, music and/or theatre and/or studio arts: visual arts, media arts, literary arts, museum and cultural institution administration.
Experience in Indigenous arts and cultural practices.
Experience preparing and delivering presentations to community (or similar) groups.
