[BCMA] Safe on offer

Hi

The Touchstones Nelson: Museum of Art and History has a large safe that we would like to offer to members of the BC museum community.

The safe was donated by the Liquor Control Board in 1984 and was used in their Nelson store. It was made by The Hall's Safe Company in Cincinnati and distributed by the Norris Safe Company of Seattle and Portland, dated circa 1905.

The dimensions of the safe are as follows:
Height 51 cm
Width 38 cm
Depth 34 cm

The safe is unlocked and weighs at least one ton. It comes with metal wheels (currently inside the safe) that can be fixed underneath. To load the safe onto a truck would definitely involve a substantial crane.
