A call to take action on climate change for museum studies faculty, students, and alumni -
"meaningful museum engagement in the climate action discourse takes commitment, knowledge, and skills. This is where museum studies programs play a role. Whether in academic or professional settings, museum studies programs offer insightful perspectives on where museums have come from – and where they are going.”
This blog post looks at what some Canadian museum studies programs (including university, community college and professional association-sponsored) are doing to support new and emerging museum professionals as they work with their communities to recognize, mitigate and become resilient in the face of climate change https://coalitionofmuseumsforclimatejustice.wordpress.com/2018/11/07/6-considerations-as-museum-studies-programs-take-climate-action/ <https://coalitionofmuseumsforclimatejustice.wordpress.com/2018/11/07/6-considerations-as-museum-studies-programs-take-climate-action/>
What is your Museum Studies Program doing? Faculty, students, alumni? Each of us has a role to play.
Look forward to hearing from you.
Cheers,
Chris
