Seventy local artists’ work presented at Kelowna Art Gallery

Bring Out Your Best: Annual Members’ Exhibition
November 3, 2018 to January 13, 2019

November 8, 2018 – Kelowna, BC: Over seventy local artists answered the call to submit a work for inclusion in this year’s annual members’ exhibition at the Kelowna Art Gallery. The group show is aptly entitled Bring Out Your Best and submissions in a wide variety of media were welcomed, including painting, sculpture, drawing, mixed media, photography, and digital media.

The exhibition is currently on view in The Front project space of the Gallery, which is free and open to the public, and will run until January 13, 2019.

“It is always exciting to see the wide range of works contributed for the annual members’ exhibition,” says Nataley Nagy, Executive Director at the Gallery. “We are once again thrilled to be able to share these with the community as one of the many ways we give back to our valued members for their ongoing support.”

A reception to celebrate the artistic accomplishments of these talented individuals will be held on Friday, December 7, 2018, from 6 to 8 pm, at the Kelowna Art Gallery. This free event is open to members and guests by invitation.

A digital publication will be produced to accompany the exhibition with images of each work along with information about the artist and the piece. The publication will soon be available to view on an iPad in the exhibition space as well as online via the Kelowna Art Gallery’s website.

The Kelowna Art Gallery offers four exhibition spaces that showcase changing contemporary and historical Canadian art and is located at 1315 Water Street in the heart of the Cultural District in downtown Kelowna.
