[BCMA] Self-Guided Tour Apps

Hello, BC Museumland!

 

I have been investigating self-guided walking tour platforms for a tour of
downtown Creston. I'm finding many options, ranging from really gimmicky to
really expensive. We do have a small budget for subscription costs, but I'm
looking for something sleek and professional on the much lower end of the
pricing scale.

 

We want something that works with all the most popular operating systems and
is available to users offline; easy to use for both us (me being pretty
non-techy) and our visitors; GPS-enabled; must be able to handle maps,
photos, text; audio and video capabilities are a bonus. But, from what I'm
seeing, that describes most of the apps out there and I'm hoping somebody
has some experience to help me narrow it down?
