Presented by Kevin MacLean (Galt Museum and Archives) this webinar will
take a look at understanding the daily challenges museums face in their
obligation to care for ever growing collections. For some, it begs the
question, “Why do museums devote so much energy to looking after stuff that
is relatively the same in all museums?” In the past decade-plus, the Galt
Museum in Lethbridge, AB has shifted its collecting outlook from a focus on
scale and proverbial “old stuff” to maximizing objects’ unique values and
stories.
