Colleagues,
There are still a few spots left in the "Archives 101: Archival Practices
for Indigenous Organizations" workshop next week in North Vancouver. We are
pleased to be hosted by the Squamish Nation.
- Date: Wednesday, February 20, 2019
- Time: 9:30am - 4:00pm
- Location: Culture Room, Eslha7an Learning Centre
- Address: 345 West 5th Street, North Vancouver, BC V7M 1K2
If you (or your volunteers) are new to working with archival records or
have been tasked to "organize that old stuff in the boxes over there..."
this workshop will provide you with a sound foundation to archival best
practices and how to acquire, appraise, store and provide access to textual
records, photographs, AV records and electronic records. We will also be
talking about policy development, digitization projects, cultural funding
opportunities for Indigenous organizations, and other professional
resources that are available.
More information about the workshop can be found on the AABC website at
