Hello everyone,

We're planning a project to digitize the back issues of a community newspaper we have in our holdings. After securing copyright permissions, we are looking for recommendations for companies that offer scanning services that are appropriate for fragile newspapers dating from the 1940s to the mid-2000s. The papers are not on microfilm/microfiche, so the originals would need to be scanned or photographed. We would like to gather at least 3 quotes.

For those of you who have completed digitization projects, which company did you choose, and what was your experience like working with them? Were you happy with the results, and would you use that company again, considering factors such as expense, handling, image quality, etc.?

Thank you so much.

Sincerely,
