[BCMA] Columbia River Treaty Heritage Project Implementation RFP

The Columbia River Treaty Heritage Project Steering Committee is seeking
proposals for project implementation.

The Columbia River Treaty Heritage Project will implement a heritage touring
route linking a series of interpretive signage or other commemorative
elements at key locations in the Columbia Basin telling place-based stories
of the Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples and communities impacted by the
Columbia River Treaty. Telling the stories will help reconciliation with
local communities and Indigenous Nations, while branding and promoting it
will communicate the Treaty's history in a series of points of interest for
travellers.

 The Request for Proposals is for a two-year project, in which the first
year is expected to be devoted to engagement, design, content development
and securing approvals and commemorative element funding, while the second
and any following years will involve creating, placing, launching and
supporting the touring route and its new facilities. The closing date for
the RFP is January 24, 2021.

The maximum budget is $150,000. Additional partnerships are under
development for funding for the commemorative projects.
