[BCMA] Webinar: Planning to Reopen - Considerations and Adaptations for Exhibitions

Do you have questions about how to modify and adapt your exhibitions in
preparation for re-opening?  The team at the Royal BC Museum has been
putting a lot of thought into this and we'd like to share our findings and
answer any questions you may have. We are working on a webinar to talk
through the considerations and precautions we will be taking to make sure
we re-open in a way that is safe for our visitors, our artifacts, our
exhibitry and us.   Some of the many questions we've considered are:

·        Our building has been closed for a while – are there any concerns
about turning everything back on?

·        How will we clean when we first get back in?

·        How will we adapt our interactives?

·        What will we do to make cleaning easier?

·        How will we create physical distancing or sanitation stations?

·        How will we communicate our changes to our visitors through
on-site signage while they’re here?


The Webinar will air on May 19th at 12:00 pm and will be available through
the BCMA Facebook page and website. Can you let us know if there are any
specific questions you’d like us to tackle or challenges you may have?
Please send them to  programs at museumsassn.bc.ca by May 18th and we will
make sure we include them when we get our panel of expert technicians
together online.
