Hello everyone,
Bryce Watts, the founder of the VR Voyage, has reached out to the BCMA with
information to pass along to our members. The VR Voyage creates interactive
virtual experiences that enable visitors to explore new cultural
destinations at their own pace. Similar in look to Google Street View, the
virtual experiences are a series of 360° images or videos that have
interactive elements integrated into them. These elements can be embedded
videos (eg. YouTube clips), audio recordings, images, text and interactive
guide recordings.
The VR Voyage has an interesting business model. The creation of all
experiences is free and once your virtual tour is published on The VR
Voyage platform, each ticket purchase is split
between The VR Voyage and your organization.
Bryce will be joining us as a special guest for the next Watercooler
Wednesday
<http://museumsassn.bc.ca/brain/learning-opportunities/bcma-mentors/watercooler-wednesdays/>
(December 2nd) so if you'd like to ask questions about creating virtual
experiences or would like to see a demo from the VR Voyage, join us!
I've attached a PDF overview of the VR Voyage if you'd like to learn more.
