[NPSBC] Off topic - banding hummingbirds

I wonder if somebody has studied the impact of banding hummingbirds on their
nesting success (or failure). The egg shell is thinner than the parchment
paper, and I can imagine that the band can damage the clutch. Or, am I
wrong?
