Hi Wayne,
There will likely be an AGM in the fall.
As you know, the NPSBC has no paid staff. It is totally dependent upon the willingness of members to volunteer their time to do everything. At the moment, there are a small number of people doing a lot of things.
This spring, we were able to offer two workshops and three field trips. The third workshop didn't go ahead due to low registration. There is at least one more field trip scheduled for the summer. And another workshop in the works. And there are plans for more of everything. The website will be updated as soon as our volunteer has some free time to make that happen.
It would be very helpful if more people were able to offer up a bit of their time to help organize field trips, workshops, AGMS and the like. As I'm sure you know, the tendency for a few people doing a lot of things is that those few tend to burn out.
The next issue of Menziesia should be out in the next couple of weeks. There will be more information about the ways that members can volunteer a bit of their time to ensure that the NPSBC stays healthy and has lots of activities to offer to its members.
Thanks,
Dawn
