_The Prince of Wales Prize for Municipal Heritage Leadership_

In keeping with His Royal Highness’ commitment to architecture, the 
environment, and inner-city renewal, The Prince of Wales agreed to lend 
his title to the creation of this prize which is awarded annually to the 
government of a municipality which has demonstrated its strong and 
sustained commitment to the conservation of historic places.

_The Gabrielle Léger Award for Lifetime Achievement in Heritage 
Conservation _

Madame Gabrielle Léger (1916-1998) consented to serve as patron for an 
award that recognizes individuals for their outstanding service to the 
country in the cause of heritage conservation. Founded in 1978, the 
Gabrielle Léger Award is Canada's premier honour for individual 
achievement in heritage conservation

_Lieutenant Governor’s Award for Outstanding Achievement in Heritage 
Conservation at the Provincial and Territorial Level_

Recognizes achievement by an individual or group in the province in 
which the Heritage Canada Foundation’s Annual Conference is held. This 
year, nominations are being sought for worthy recipients whose work has 
benefited the province of *Alberta*.

_Journalism Award_

Presented to a journalist whose work has brought profile to historic 
places in Canadian communities.

_Corporate Prize_

Recognizes Canadian corporations who have invested in the conservation 
of historic property for the purpose of restoration, rehabilitation or 
reuse.

_Achievement Awards_

Honours individuals or groups for their achievement in heritage advocacy 
and volunteerism, and for conservation projects that demonstrate a 
community’s commitment to heritage conservation.

_Prix du prince de Galles pour leadership municipal en matière de 
patrimoine_

Dans l’esprit de l’engagement de Son Altesse Royale en faveur de 
l’architecture, de l’environnement et de la réhabilitation des 
centres-villes, le prince de Galles a accepté d’associer son titre à un 
prix octroyé chaque année au gouvernement d’une municipalité qui a 
longuement fait preuve d’une détermination à conserver ses lieux 
historiques.

_Médaille Gabrielle-Léger pour l’ensemble des réalisations en 
conservation du patrimoine _

M^me Gabrielle Léger (1916-1998) a accepté de parrainer un prix qui 
reconnaît les personnes ayant rendu des services éminents au pays dans 
la cause de la conservation du patrimoine. Instituée en 1978, la 
Médaille Gabrielle-Léger est le plus grand honneur octroyé au Canada 
pour réalisations personnelles en conservation du patrimoine.

_Prix de lieutenant-gouverneur pour réalisations exceptionnelles en 
conservation du patrimoine à l’échelle provinciale ou territoriale_

Ce prix reconnaît les réalisations d’une personne ou d’un groupe, dans 
la province ou le territoire où a lieu la conférence annuelle de la 
fondation Héritage Canada. Cette année, les candidatures recherchées 
sont celles d’éventuels récipiendaires dont l’œuvre a profité à la 
province de l’*Alberta*.

_Prix du journalisme_

Ce prix est présenté à un journaliste dont le travail a fait connaître 
les lieux historiques dans les collectivités canadiennes.

_Prix de reconnaissance d’entreprise_

Ce prix rend hommage à des entreprises canadiennes qui ont investi dans 
la conservation de biens historiques en vue de les restaurer, de les 
réhabiliter ou de les réutiliser.

_Prix d’excellence_

Les prix d’excellence rendent hommage à des personnes ou des groupes 
pour leurs réalisations et leur bénévolat en faveur de la défense du 
patrimoine et pour des projets de conservation qui démontrent la 
détermination d’une collectivité à conserver son patrimoine.

d’excellence – doivent être reçues au plus tard le 30 avril 2007.*
