For those in the central and northern parts of the province, here is a program that was designed specifically for the Alliance of BC National
Historic Sites and made available to all heritage groups. This was well attended when it was held in February at our Spring conference at Burnaby
Village Museum.

“BUSINESS STRATEGIES FOR HERITAGE SITES”
OCTOBER 15 & 16, 2007
QUESNEL, BC
ARE YOU A HERITAGE SITE OPERATOR?
DOES YOUR BUSINESS DEPEND ON A LOCAL HERITAGE SITE?
Heritage organizations have the capacity to develop innovative and
sustainable revenue generating strategies while also protecting and
celebrating the unique heritage values of their structures, landscapes,
collections and mission.
The Fraser Basin Council, in cooperation with the University of Victoria

constrain business development
- Identify types and key characteristics of social enterprises
- Identify business strategies that build on your organizational context
and heritage resources
- Assess the viability of business strategies in the context of
organizational culture and readiness, available resources, and market
demand
