Good morning all

We are running out of membership cards/ receipts, and I am looking for
input as to membership procedures.

We currently use carbonless triplicate forms, with cardstock as the
third page. One part goes to the member as a receipt, a second to the
accountant, and the third becomes part of the card file. The card stock
page has a separate perforated section where a business card sized
membership card can be filled out and detached.

Between phone calls, mail outs, receiving, processing then re-mailing
membership cards along with thank you letters, costs are quite high in
terms of paper, printing, photocopying and staff time. We have a
proposal to raise our rates at our next AGM, however, we would still
like to decrease our costs.

The re-printing of membership application/receipts and cards is our
immediate concern. What low cost alternatives exist for membership card
procedures? What works and does not work? Is there a way to streamline
the process?

Thank you in advance for your assistance in this matter.
