Fresh Craft is a group show featuring the work of recent graduates from
BC college and university programs. The show is coordinated by Elisabeth
Owre, Candace Thayer-Coe and Coralie Triance and features the works of
Marek Normon, Brandi Rawluck, and Claire Wensveen.

In 2001, it was proposed that the Crafts Association of British Columbia
find a way to recognize students who excelled in craft-related studies
in a way that would recognize their creative talent. It was decided that
those students who were chosen by their instructors would receive an
opportunity to exhibit in the Crafthouse Gallery. In 2007 there were
four awards given to students registered in craft related programs in
various colleges throughout the province. We are pleased that we have
students who have completed their two-year diploma program or are
continuing on in their studies excited about this exhibit. The colleges
who recognized their students with awards are: Vancouver Community
College; Langara College; Kootenay School of the Arts at Selkirk
College; and Capilano College.

The Crafts Association of British Columbia provides leadership in the
craft community by building and promoting the development, appreciation
and sustainability of Canadian fine craft through programs and services
for the public and craft makers.
