Kelowna Art Gallery

Part-time preparator and building technician

The Kelowna Art Gallery is seeking an individual to join our team as our 
part time preparator/building technician. This is a position with 
flexible, part-time hours requiring a highly-skilled and careful person 
to install our exhibitions, act as the lighting technician, do light 
construction, and conduct general building maintenance.

Skills required

Use of power tools
Ability to design and build plinths, shelves, etc. as needed
Good project-planning, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Working knowledge of word processing and email programs on a PC platform
Current driver’s license

No specific sort of educational or employment background is required. We 
will train you in art handling and exhibition installation techniques. 
Knowledge of art would be an asset. Will also need to be trained with 
level-one first aid and keep that current.
