Election toolkit --- Speak up on behalf of the museums community

*September 17, 2008 --* The Canadian Museums Associations (CMA) has sent
a letter to all major party leaders asking to outline their policies
with respect to museums and to respond to questions on specific priority
issues. These questions and their respective responses once received
will be posted on our website www.museums.ca. As a non-partisan
organization, CMA's intention is to assist members and others in better
understanding Party positions so they are well informed.

      Elections Toolkit

The CMA has posted important election material on the CMA website.
<http://25538.vws.magma.ca/en/info_resources/current_issues/election_toolkit/index.php>
We will be helping to coordinate activities throughout the campaign and
will respond to the specific needs of our members who are working to get
our message out.

We need you to help us at a grassroots level if we want to make a
difference in this campaign. The toolkit includes key messages on
Canada's museums, the challenges they face, their needs and ultimately
outlines the principles of a new Canadian Museums Policy. In addition,
we have developed a draft letter for candidates that you can use as a
template and customise to your specific museum. The elections toolkit is
available on our website www.museums.ca <http://www.museums.ca>
