Registrar, Craigdarroch Castle National Historic Site

Craigdarroch Castle Historical Museum Society seeks a full-time museum Registrar.  Reporting to the Curator, the Registrar cares for the Society’s collection of nineteenth-century domestic material, and compiles and maintains the related paper and electronic records. This work includes: the handling, movement, and maintenance of furniture, decorative arts, and other artifacts; the maintenance of period room settings and exhibit materials; the research and documentation (including photography) of artifacts; collections database entry and manual record-keeping. As is the case with all Society employees, the Registrar must occasionally work with the visiting public during daytime hours and at special events.

Remuneration is $21.04 per hour plus benefits. The successful applicant is required to join CUPE Local 3136.

Anticipated start date is late January or early February 2013.
