The Vernon Public Art Gallery will host the 26th annual Midsummer's Eve of
the Arts (MEA) garden party and art auction at Cenotaph Park in the heart of
downtown Vernon. Enjoy delicious fare from The Fig Catering and Itty Bitty
Catering Company, wine pairing by Gray Monk Estates, ale from Okanagan
Spring Brewery, live music by Zentangle, and the chance to take home
original artwork from the silent and live auctions. Guests will be
entertained by Word Champion auctioneers, Peter Raffin and Rod Burnett of
Valley Auction. New for 2012: Okanagan Spirits are providing guests with
signature beverages! The MEA organizing committee also welcomes

special occasion. 

 

The live auction will feature outstanding juried artwork which will
undoubtedly provide for an entertaining auction event. Artwork is now
available for viewing at the Vernon Public Art Gallery and for the first
time ever select pieces are available for pre-bidding. We have received
amazing Okanagan art by the likes of Michael Jell, Wanda Lock, Rick Bond,
Gail Short, Brian Monteith, Julia Trops, Rhonda Neufeld, and so many more,
so don't miss out on the arts event of the summer and purchase your ticket
today!

Midsummer's Eve of the Arts is a benefit event supporting gallery
exhibitions and programming, while raising support for the new Vernon Public
Art Gallery facility. 

 

Event location: Cenotaph Park, 3000 31st Ave. Vernon BC. Doors open at
6:30pm. Tickets are $50 and include appetizers and a complimentary beverage.
