Classical Chinese Garden invites applications for two summer term 
positions:*

*Working under the supervision of the Visitor Experience Manager, the 
two Visitor Experience and Outreach Assistants will join the team that 
ensures that visitors to the Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden 
receive a consistently great experience in customer service, hospitality 
and information.***

*This position offers the opportunity to engage the public in new and 
innovative ways. The outreach work focuses on public engagement and 
awareness of the Garden with some operations and administrative tasks, 
as needed.*

*_Qualifications: _***Students in Grade 11 or that have just completed 
Grade 12 *with an interest in cultural studies, history, marketing, 
theatre or communications should apply. Interest in Chinese culture and 
Chinatown history is an asset. The successful applicants will be 
comfortable working with the public, both local and international 
visitors, and be self-assured with strong oral and written communication 
skills in English. They should also have excellent interpersonal skills 
and the ability to work effectively alone or as part of a diverse team. 
A second language is an asset, but not mandatory. *

*Positions: July 6 to August 31, 2012 for 35 hours/week. Schedule 
includes some evening and weekend work for special events, programs, 
training and tours. Salary: $10.25/hr*
