[BCMA] 2-day course in Volunteer Management - seats available

The Cultural Resource Management Program at the University of Victoria is pleased to offer a 2-day fall workshop/course in Volunteer Management for Cultural Organizations (HA488M)
Date: Oct. 2-3, 2014
Time: 9 AM- 4 PM each day
Location: UVic campus
Fee: $271.97 (credit and non-credit options available)

Volunteers are an integral part of public programing in museums and cultural organizations. Come and join us on the UVic campus for 2 days at the start of October for Volunteer Management in Cultural Organizations, with Lisa Mort-Putland, Executive Director of Volunteer Victoria. In this short course, participants will:

*         Gain a deeper understanding of the principles and practices that frame Volunteer Management Programs in Canada

*         Gain tools and strategies to recruit, assess, place, retain, and evaluate volunteers

*         Enhance understanding of emerging trends impacting volunteerism and the heritage community
