Girls Just Wanna Fun at The Museum While Raising Funds!

Abbotsford, BC - Girls never outgrow their enthusiasm for simple fun, good food and dressing chic. That's why the girls at The Reach Gallery Museum Abbotsford put on an annual fundraiser, this year dubbed Girls Night @The Museum Goes Parisian and happening Friday November 7, 2014 at 7pm.

"It's all about wine, women, song, food, treats, shopping, playing creatively, and yes, raising dollars for hands-on kids arts and heritage interactivities in your community. It is also very much about connecting with talented regional artisans and artists and supporting each other in a highly celebratory and artistically beautiful setting," explains Ingrid Epp, director of development at The Reach.

While Locally Rooted servers tantalize ladies with delectable appetizers and trays of Ramada sweets and baby Cupcakes beckon, the local Pilkey Sisters will have them humming to their three-part harmony of favorite nostalgic numbers in the Paris style café. The Pilkey Sisters have been acting and singing jazz, pop, R&B, gospel and country together for all their young lives, including at Songs, Strings & Steps productions, the Vancouver Canadians baseball game, the Vancouver International Airport and at many events.

Then it's off to engage with the artisans and artists and do a little self-gratification or Christmas shopping. Oh la la, what a collection of goods: quality hand-crafted European, glass and vintage jewellery, Paverpol sculptures, pottery, rustic soaps, edible artisan mixes and seasonings, visual art and design pieces, not to mention all the fabulous girlie packages in the silent auction. Oh yes, there's the hands-on like: hand or foot reflexology quickies, creative henna applications, easy nail wraps, 'you deserve wings today' selfie snapshots, or create a traditional or somewhat freaky wine charm.

Girls Night @The Museum Goes Parisian is made possible by all the fun-loving, community spirited ladies participating, and the generosity of Cooper's Foods, Aldergrove Credit Union, Backyard Vineyards, The News, Ramada Plaza and Rex Leonard.
